What Eric Worre Taught Me About Building Your Network Marketing Business Fast
Several years ago I had the opportunity to work with Eric Worre and sit in on a small team meeting at a company event. In that meeting he shared some of his thoughts on how to build your network marketing business quickly, In this article I’m excited to pass on some of thoughts to you, so you can create bigger success in your own network marketing business faster.

Success Loves Speed | What I Learned from Eric Worre
I’ll never forget sitting in that small meeting room in Las Vegas listening to Eric Worre describe how to create growth and momentum in your network marketing business. “Success loves speed,” he said. And he’s exactly right.
If you listen to much of my training you’ll hear me say a lot of things like, “Master the mundane.” and “Success is the sum of consistent habits over time.” And that is true. You can create a six- or seven-figure network marketing business by simply completing a hand full of tasks each day, 5 days a week, for 2-4 years.
It’s so simple, most people won’t do it.
They don’t believe it can really be as simple as expanding your network, reaching out a a few new people a day about your business, following up with those who’ve agreed to take a look and helping those who choose to join you do the same.
They don’t believe that you can build your business in just an hour of income-producing activity a day.
The other place people get stuck is the overlook the importance of spending time each day focusing on your goals and getting into personal and professional development. They see these activities as time wasters… as the things they’ll add into their business routine “when they have more time”, but unless you’re willing to add these things into your routine now, “more time” will never come.
Because somewhere along the way you’ll get frustrated. You’ll have fears and doubts. You’ll have limiting beliefs about yourself and what you’re capable of. You’ll get stuck on how to meet more people and grow your network, or how to approach new people about your business, or how to follow up in order to maximize your enrollments. Or how to get your team members off to a fast start.
Personal and Professional development, when done consistently, 5 days a week for 2-4 years make the rest of your actions possible. They give you the courage, the belief and the skill to get where you want to go.
All that being said, Eric Worre is right: success does love speed. And although success IS the sum of consistent daily action compounded over time, at some point you’re going to want to speed things up so you can REALLY get off the ground.
Speeding Things Up | How to Go Full Throttle
As we sat in that room in Las Vegas, Eric Worre pulled out a big white notepad on an easel and began to draw.
His drawing simulated an airplane throttling up to get off the ground; and the reality is, you’re never going to fly if you don’t go full throttle.
Close your eyes for a moment and picture an airplane hurdling down the runway. Now, imagine for a moment that the pilot was a subscriber to the “slow and steady wins the race” mentality, and decided to only throttle up to 20% power during take off.
Now, picture that big group of TREES at the end of the runway. And you’d better get REALLY comfortable looking at them, because that’s exactly where you’re going to end up if the pilot tries to take off with just 20% power.
Okay… but what about 50% power? Do you think that’s enough to get you in the air?
As Eric Worre pointed out, nothing less than 100% power is going to get you to a cruising altitude. And it is then, and ONLY then, that you can throttle back and cruise until you reach your destination.
If you start out trying to cruise though, you’ll only end up crashing and burning in the trees.
Going Full Throttle for 30 Days
In the 6-Figure Blueprint Guide I outline a 4-step formula for getting to 6-figures in your network marketing business. It includes growing your network, filling your funnel, following up with those who have agreed to take a look and helping your team to do the same.

The numbers in this formula are meant for steady, long term growth in your business. They’re benchmarks. My challenge to you is to take ONE of the first three steps and go full throttle by doubling that benchmark for the next 30 days.
Let me explain:
Not everyone is at the same place in their network marketing journey. In fact, not a single one of us is on the same path as anyone else. The path of others is not important. What’s important is the path YOU are on… focusing on where you currently are, and what needs to happen to get where you want to be.
Maybe you’re struggling with not having enough people to talk to about your business. While I think most people simply are unwilling to reach out to the people they DO know, I also believe there are a lot of people who can benefit from simply taking 30 days to grow their network and cultivate relationships. If making connections and turning strangers into friends is something that’s been hard for you in the past, take 30 days to go full throttle in growing your network.
Maybe you HAVE a network, you just haven’t been willing to reach out to the people you know about your business. If that’s you, then take all out massive action and fill your funnel by doubling your reach out benchmark for the next 30 days.
Maybe you’ve reached out to a LOT of people about your business in the past, but either didn’t have a workable follow up funnel to move them through the decision making process, or you simply let fear keep you from following up like you knew you should. Either way, if this is you commit to figuring out what your follow up steps are, and doubling your follow up numbers for the next 30 days.
Regardless of which area you choose to go “full throttle” in, I would also challenge you to stick to your benchmark numbers in the other areas as well. Don’t get so wrapped up in networking that you fail to reach out. Don’t get so wrapped up in reaching out that you fail to follow up. And don’t get so wrapped up in following up that you fail to continue to reach out to new people along the way.
What to Expect
First, expect going “full throttle” to take a lot less time than you might think.
Some people think doubling their activity equals doubling their time and energy. This is not the case! What you’ll find is it takes almost the same amount of energy to reach out to 6 people as it does to reach out to 3. You’ll find making 10 new friends a day is just as easy as making 5.
Secondly, you’re going to find that going full throttle in one specific area of your business will grow your confidence and commitment to an entirely new level.
I hear a lot of people in network marketing talk about doing a 90-Day push. While I believe this can be immensely beneficial (a 90-day push can truly change your life!) I’ve found that committing to one too early in the game can actually hinder your business rather than help it.
A 90 Day Push is where you commit to go full throttle in EVERY area of your business… growing your network, reaching out, following through and helping those who join you quickly rank advance and move up the comp plan. I’ve done one 90 Day Push in my business where I grew my team from $0 to over $10,000 in monthly volume in 90 days. It was incredible, and I continue to reap the rewards of that push years later.
However, if you commit to a 90 day push before you have the time, energy and confidence to do so, you’ll fall flat. Too many people get excited about the “idea” of a 90-Day push without taking into the account the difficulty. If you’re struggling to network, reach out and follow up, setting HUGE benchmarks for yourself can actually hurt your confidence. Your fear gets in the way and you end up saying and believing, “I can’t do this.”
By committing to a 30 day run where you focus on ONE area of activity, you can grow your skills and confidence in that area so that you’ll never struggle to excel in that area again.

Are you willing to trade 30 days to never feel negative about reaching out to new people about your business again?
Are you willing to trade 30 days to master the art of following up so you continue to consistently enroll new team members every single month?

Celebrate Your Wins
When working to master something new, it’s important to celebrate your wins and give yourself rewards along the way.
Make your rewards ACTION based, not RESULTS based. In other words, each day that you double your benchmark in your focus area, give yourself a reward. It can be something as simple as a relaxing walk to the park or an hour to sit and read your favorite book.
Reward yourself again each week that you double your benchmark 5 days in a row. Take yourself out for a cup of coffee or your favorite ice cream!
And give yourself a big reward when you complete your 30-Day run. Take yourself shopping or out for a pedicure. Take an entire day to celebrate your accomplishment!
When your 30 days are up I want to encourage you to not stop! Continue to hit your benchmarks in each area 5 days a week. Then, when you’re ready, gear up for a new 30-Day run focusing on a new area of your business.
