As I look out the window of my home office I see the grass beginning to turn green and a gentle spring rain falling from the sky.
Our vehicles are parked on the curb, a rarity… as we prefer to keep them in the garage which is currently functioning as ground zero for our home remodel.
On Monday morning the temperature outside was 22…. and now as the sun begins to set on the end of this Good Friday, it is nearly 80 outside.
My thoughts as I sit here looking out the window is that this has been a week of change. In many ways.
But then, isn’t that just how life is?
Change can be difficult. It can be frustrating, intimidating and scary. It can also be exhilarating, joyous and life-altering if we allow it to be.
I’ve always wonder why as humans we have such an aversion to change when it is happening constantly all around us, but several years ago I was taught that your subconscious mind strives to keep you within 10% above or below your comfort zone in any given area of your life.
When you look at it that way…. that’s all change really is — a stretch outside your comfort zone.
So regardless of where you are in your life. Whether you’re changing careers, homes or simply observing winter slowly turn to spring, embrace it!
Make the extra push to step outside your comfort zone and embrace what can happen when you do!
