Gratitude is a powerful emotion. People love to feel appreciated and needed — that love is an integral part of our human DNA. Learning to express gratitude on a daily basis can have an enormous impact in all areas of your life — here are just a few of the ways how:

1. Liberating Your Mind
By focusing on gratitude your mind is immediately taken from the negative aspects of your life to the positive. It’s fact that your conscious mind can only focus on one thought at a time — when that thought is gratitude (think of all the things in your life you are grateful for) it cannot be fear, doubt, anger, jealousy, or any other negative emotion.

2. Strengthening Your Relationships
People love to be appreciated. By learning to express appreciation to those in your life on a daily basis you are strengthening your relationships with a bond that is greater than yourself. The people in your life will begin to appreciate YOU, and a wonderful cycle of gratitude will begin. Practice appreciation and gratitude in your relationships daily and get ready for the ride of a lifetime.

3. Spiritual Synchronization
When you begin to focus on and express gratitude for the things and people in your life, you will notice your spiritual self becoming more aligned as well. Like I mentioned, gratitude is an integral part of our DNA. It is who God created us to be. By focusing on the things we are grateful for in life we open ourselves up to the incredible life He has planned for us.

4. Abundance
The Law of Attraction states that we get back what we send out. By sending out thoughts of gratitude and appreciation we are inviting more blessings into our life to be grateful for. When are thoughts are focused on the negative they will be returned with more chaos and discord. By focusing on the positive, however, you are bound to be blessed with more and more positive things to focus on.

5. Love
Life is about love. We are created in the image of God and the Bible says that “God is Love.” It’s the most powerful emotion in the world and expressing gratitude to those you care about promotes greater feelings of love throughout the world. Learning to express gratitude is, in essence, learning to express love. By mastering this skill you will notice improvements in all areas of your life!

6. Expressing Importance
Another thing you are expressing when you promote gratitude is importance. By telling those you love and care about that you are grateful for them you are letting them know they are important. That feeling of being worth something is a powerful one and you never know when your expression of gratitude may arrive at precisely the right moment for someone.

7.  Promoting a Better World
Perhaps the simplest way to summarize the impact  that the expression of gratitude can have on your life is to say that when you are expressing gratitude you are promoting a better world. Imagine what the world would look like if people took the time each morning to begin their day with an expression of gratitude towards someone in their life who deserves it. The world would be a much better place full of less hatred, anger and fear. It can begin with you!
